Maria Bartiromo - the American television journalist and broadcaster who was the very first to broadcast live directly via the New York Stock Exchange - is well-known for a number of her highly successful shows. With over twenty years experience as a journalist, Bartiromo had a significant role in the establishment of the television channel CNBC to become one of the most prominent in economic and business coverage. Maria's highly successful journalism career leads one to believe she was born for this field. Maria was in a state of confusion as a young girl about which career path to pursue. One day she would want to be a singer the next day and an interior designer. However, once she experienced the thrill journalism has to offer, she had no intention of turning at her. Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actress who is active in both film, television and the theater. She is a talented thespian who has been active professionally from her early teens for the past 27 years. In the year 1990, she made her stage debut with an Off Broadway production in The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. In The Perfect Tribute, she made her TV debut a year later. In 1992, she was cast as a back-up role in the movie Basic Instinct the film, her career started to take off. It was in The Firm however that she got the role of female lead for the first time, and this was also against famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s she collaborated with some of the top names in the field, such as Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
